It’s Sunday which means only one thing…
Oh no!! Memorial Day weekend is almost over and I haven’t made plans and Erika helpppp!
Don’t worry, I gotchu.
I currently work 6 days a week so when I get more than one day off in a row, I absolutely don’t know what to do with myself. Lately, my go-to has been relax. So whether you’ve got huge plans this Memorial Day weekend or you’d like a couple ideas, here’s some ideas to get the wheels turning:
Wanna get out of the house but not break the bank? GO TO THE BEACH. Afterall, this holiday weekend is pretty much the official kickoff to summer so let’s go nuts. Also, you’ll be embodying Disney Mousketeer royalty, Annette Funicello (who is a NY native yayy, Annette!)
Today, of all the different beaches in NYC, I’m opting for Far Rockaway in Queens in order to stay far away from the touristy crowd that populates Coney Island this time of year. So grab your favorite towel, a book and leave your worries in the car…or in my case…the subway.
Feeling like going to Disneyland this weekend? Take me with you! There’s one thing that better be on your list if you’re going the Dland route: The Enchanted Tiki Room.
It’s air-conditioned, it’ll entertain you with adorable singing birds…it’s air conditioned. But better yet, they are known for their Dole Whips. Dole pineapple juice topped with a creamy topping.
You can just go ahead and UPS one my way, thanks!!
Does leaving the house sound exhausting to you? Don’t worry, I hear you. Stay in, but you better watch something nostalgic and summery that’ll give you the feels. How about Parent Trap? Not the Lindsay one, however, I love the heck out of her…the original from 1961!
Go turn it on. Have a hotdog and pretend you’re at Camp Walden with the girls. Now go play!
Comment below with your favorite Disney summer movie! I’m currently watching LILO AND STITCH while I put on my sunscreen. Have a magical weekend!
