It finally feels like summertime in New York, which means a couple of things.
My winter coat is now in storage (meaning it’s stuffed under my bed). And I have realized that I gained almost 10 pounds during the winter by successfully hibernating. Now is the time to start making healthier food choices, so on days when I feel like I need to give my gut some proper attention, I turn to my juicer. I never replace a meal with juice, but I DO use it as a way to clear veggies out of my fridge.
I LOVEEE green juice, but I crave a little bit of sweetness, so today I’m going to share my Green Army Man juice recipe with you. It’s hard on the outside, but sweet and delightful on the inside.
INGREDIENTS:
1 bunch kale
1 grapefruit
1 lime
4 stalks celery
1 apple (green or red)
1/2 cucumber
TIPS:
Enjoy immediately after juicing for highest nutritional value!
STEP 1: Prep your ingredients

1 Apple! You can use a green one, but I love the flavor of red apples. Simply slice in half down the center and pull the stem out. It’s ok to put in juicer just like this and the skin has great flavor.

4 stalks of celery. Rinse well. These can go in juicer as is. The flavor of celery mixed with grapefruit is going to blow your mind!
STEP 2: Juice away and serve!

Servings: serves either 2 as snack servings, OR if you’re feeling bold, replace a small meal and have the WHOLE thing yourself. If you replace a meal, add chopped almonds on top to give yourself some protein. Serve either as is, or with 1-2 ice cubes so you don’t water down your magical elixir.

Me enjoying it! Although I do have to say I have too much fun making the juice. Comment if you liked the recipe!
